What we do, and what we don't

We go to bat for you with documentation. That means an inspection, photos, measurements, a line-item scope of work, meeting the adjuster on your roof to show the damage, and supplement requests for anything the first estimate missed or that turns up during tear-off.

We are not public adjusters. Oklahoma law allows only licensed public adjusters and attorneys to represent you, negotiate your settlement or argue coverage for pay (OID Roofing Contractor Bulletin). Any roofer who says otherwise is breaking it.

How roof claims pay in Oklahoma

• Many roofs are covered at actual cash value: replacement cost minus depreciation. On a replacement cost policy, the depreciation held back is paid once the work is finished and documented.
• Insurers have deadlines. They must acknowledge your claim within 30 days, and accept, deny or explain within 60 days of your proof of loss.
• Oklahoma has no shingle-matching law. Whether mismatched slopes get replaced depends on your policy.
• Overhead and profit is owed when a general contractor is reasonably needed, not automatically.
• Code items such as drip edge are paid only if your policy includes Ordinance or Law coverage.

What claim help costs you

Our claim support is free. The licensed alternative is a public adjuster, whose fee on a residential claim after a declared catastrophe is capped at 10% of the settlement. For bad-faith delays, the next step is an attorney. For most straightforward hail claims, contractor support is all you need.

When you need someone other than a roofer

• Coverage is in dispute, such as a denial, a cosmetic-damage exclusion or a late-notice fight. You need a licensed public adjuster or an attorney.
• The loss is close to your deductible. A claim may not be worth filing.
• Someone offers to "cover your deductible". That's illegal in Oklahoma, and your insurer doesn't have to consider that contractor's estimate.

Your rights as an Oklahoma homeowner

Oklahoma homeowners pay some of the highest premiums in the country, around $4,700–$5,300 a year in 2026 (Bankrate). Percentage deductibles are common: 1%, 2% or 5% of $300,000 in coverage is $3,000, $6,000 or $15,000. Know your rights:

• You can cancel a roofing contract within 72 hours after your insurer denies the claim.
• You have three business days to cancel a contract signed at your door.
• Every roofer must be registered with the Construction Industries Board. Prodigy's registration number is 80006597, and you can verify any roofer on the CIB site.
